Events at the De La Vina Inn
Event Rules & Requirements
At The De La Vina Inn, we’re dedicated to making your event a truly special and seamless experience. To ensure this, please familiarize yourself with our guidelines:
- Event Classification — Any group or gathering exceeding our standard house capacity is considered an event and must comply with all applicable event guidelines, including the requirement for a full property buyout.
- Property Buyout & Minimum Stays — All events require a full buyout of the De La Vina Inn property, ensuring complete privacy and exclusive use of our facilities. Monday–Thursday events may be accommodated on short notice with a minimum one-night full property buyout, subject to prior approval by Hearth Hospitality. Friday, Saturday & Sunday events require a minimum two-night buyout.
- Guest Capacity — Our maximum capacity for all events is 50 guests. For events with over 25 guests, a portable restroom trailer rental is required; we’re happy to recommend trusted vendors.
- Event Coordination — For certain events, Hearth Hospitality may require an approved event or wedding coordinator to be present, at our discretion, to ensure the smooth execution of your special day. The cost of this coordinator is the guest’s responsibility.
- Catering & Vendors — While we pride ourselves on exceptional in-house catering, outside caterers require prior approval from Hearth Hospitality. All outside vendors must be approved in advance and provide proof of adequate insurance, sign a waiver, and name Hearth Hospitality & Hearth Homes LLC as additionally insured.
- Event Timings & Noise — To respect our neighbors and comply with local regulations, all events must conclude by 9:30 PM on weekdays and 10:00 PM on weekends, and must comply with the City of Santa Barbara Noise Ordinance (SBMC Chapter 9.16).
- Prohibited Items — For the safety and cleanliness of our property, we kindly request no sparklers, confetti, or other thrown objects.
- Parking — There is no on-site parking available during catered events. We encourage your guests to use ride-share services or the convenient nearby public parking lots.
