Culinary Experiences & Enhancements

As a part of the Hearth Hospitality Family, guests at The De La Vina Inn have access to our world-class culinary program, led by Michelin-Recognized chef Julian Martinez. Make your Stay one for the ages, and let our team take care of the meals. With options ranging from daily hot breakfast prepared in-home, to pre-packed excursion lunches, and even a bespoke seven course meal prepared by Chef Julian and his team, the culinary experience at The De La Vina Inn is unlike anywhere else.

A full family-style spread served on a large wooden board. Our chef will arrive 60 minutes prior to breakfast service time and will prepare the meal in your kitchen. The spread will be served hot. Our chef will set the table, serve your breakfast, and make sure everything is perfectly clean and tidy before leaving.

Our breakfast menu includes something for everyone.

Planning a long hike in the hills? An afternoon of wine tasting in the valley? A kayak trip along the coast? A casual picnic at the Mission rose garden? Let us pack your food for you! Select from a variety of chef-curated ready-to-eat meal packages. We’ll provide the appropriate means of transporting the food (cooler, picnic basket, etc), plenty of ice, and all necessary supplies (compostable plates, forks, napkins, etc). Each package does include a non-alcoholic beverage, along with an option to add an adult beverage (must include a picture of your photo ID upon booking). Minimum 6 guests.

Looking for a special night of dining without dealing with the crowds of downtown? Allow Julian Martinez, Executive Chef from Barbareño Restaurant, to prepare a five-course dinner for your group in the comfort of your Stay. Julian has designed a custom menu of creative dishes just for Hearth Homes Stays, featuring local and seasonal ingredients from Santa Barbara’s unparalleled farmers market, as well as local food artisans.

Pizza is a true art. Allow our chefs to show you all the tricks to make beautiful pies at home. We’ll bring the oven (we use an Ooni), the dough, the sauce, toppings, and cheese. We’ll walk your group through the steps, provide recipes that we have developed (along with some of our sourdough starter, if you’d like), and make the pizzas with you. After it all, you’ll be able to enjoy some truly top-notch pizzas with your party. All you need to bring is a curious mind and a hungry stomach.

Fully stocked fridge


Santa Barbara has so many amazing things to do. Grocery shopping, however, is not one of them (unless it happens to be at one of our farmers markets). Let us take care of the hassle for you. We’ll provide your fridge and pantry essentials upon your arrival, stocked and organized beautifully. We offer a few different stocking packages, based on your party’s preferences. 

Perfectly cooked sliced tri-tip

Showcasing cuisine of California’s Central Coast, our friends at Barbareño Restaurant offer large-format family style platters for you and your party.  The focal point of these dinners is the smokey sliced tri tip grilled over red oak and served with a fresh pico de gallo and chimichurri.  Accompanying that are local pinquito beans, charred sourdough garlic bread, a ranch salad (with the best ranch you’ve ever had), and locally made truffles from Twenty-Four Blackbirds.  The full meal will be delivered in disposable containers and plated on Hearth Homes Stays china at your requested time.  This is a meal that truly epitomizes this area’s regional cuisine, executed at the highest level.

Our chefs will curate a fully customized meal, catered to your desires.  Have a favorite food memory you want to see recreated?  Looking for a meaningful menu to pop the Big Question?  Hoping to have a truly one-of-a-kind dining experience?  This option is for you.  Chef Julian Martinez will consult with you on the phone to get a sense of what you desire.  From there, he will work to create a completely custom menu, inspired by you.  These dinners are plated individually, and can be five courses, seven courses, or nine courses.  Wine pairings are available.  Get ready for the dinner of your dreams.
